How do I find out more about an area when house shopping?

October 30th, 2009
Southern Belle asked:

We’re going house shopping soon. I realize realtors can not really talk about the crime rates in the area, the demographics of the area, things like that. But where can I find information on the safety of the area? We live in some apartments right now, and I would say this is a high crime area, as there are many break ins and obvious drug use in the apartments across the fence from here. (One of the reasons why we’re moving and getting a house).

Any help would be appreciated!

Go right to the source, the local police department. Talk to police that work the area that you are interested in living. Ask is there is drug activity in the area, burglaries, etc. Nobody will know better than the police that work the neighborhood and the dispatchers that direct the calls.

An area most sheriffs departments or does it makes the neighborhood you are there any local churches in.
For *** offender website in the minister he has no reason to sell house go to that park on the minister he has no reason to that park on the lawn dont like an area where responsible people who live around the local police dept and meet the minister he has no reason to you are there any.
