My mom and dad rented a house two months ago and they have been getting postcards in the mail from people offering to help stop forclosure but they thought it was just junk mail since it wasnt addressed to anyone, well today they got one that had a date and time that their house would be up for public auction Nov 4th due to forclosure! They looked up forclosure listings online and sure enough their house was on there. They have no money to move again and I live out of state so they cant stay with me…is there any recourse for them? Is that illegal to rent it out and not tell them its under forclosure? Are they at least entitled to their money back? Please, I need advice for them!

She wants a new tenant also because taxes are increasing and she needs to adjust the rent accordingly. Is there a 60-day notice I can download somewhere to have the tenant sign?

Also, this is a month to month rental, not a lease… if that makes a difference.
